[VIDEO] Frank Mir Works His Boxing In Preparation For UFC 100
Posted by Bill Wannop on 06.30.2009

Below is a quote from Frank Mir regarding the fight:

"Honestly, I think big guys are easier to fight. They don't move as fast, they get tired quickly and they're not as technical…. If I want to sharpen my tools I have to work with somebody who's not a sitting target like Forrest. Who moves around a lot, he's extremely conditioned. He's fast and can throw 300 punches compared to 30 punches a round. Forrest is my worst nightmare. Basically you have to go for broke and knock him out, and if you don't he's still going to be standing there coming after you…. There's so many things going on in the fight. I think his mind will be paralyzed because he's having to deal with so many new elements. Instead of going for things real slow and powerful, I may as well go for speed so I can add more chaos to his brain."

I don't know if Mir is as fast as Lesnar. This plan may backfire unless the fight goes long.

what does he mean Forrest and sitting target? does he train with forrest griffin?

Mir's striking looks like it's in need of a serious update. Wow, he IS SLOW, short punches and no body into the punch. Kicks are outside, he better get to the ground quick. That was truly pathetic, hope he looks better when he's in the ring. Any two bit boxing trainer would have a field day with his technique. Look up some of Badr Hari's handywork, that'll give you an idea of how to knock out and work. Pfff...

It's hard to use speed when there's an animal on top smothering you. Better hope he makes a mistake again and leaves an arm or leg to grab.

"If I want to sharpen my tools I have to work with somebody who's not a sitting target like Forrest."

That's some bad grammar right there.

While training for the nfl Brock Ran
a 4.7 second 40-yard dash..
now, i'm no expert in running,
or training for nfl or mma..

but i would tend to think that big boy is fast..
even if he's not training for speed
he's still got it.

The Lesnar that faced Mir about a year ago nearly took him out, had it not been for the ref..
he was green and didn't have a -lot-
of training or Octagon experience..

Its been a year now..
and that same crazy bastard that had mir beat a year ago has sharpened his teeth, gained more practice & training
and knows what to expect from mir.

Mir's only hope of victory is if that mustached little freak of a ref is holding his hand.

The impression I got is that he's trained with Forrest. Or he was just saying Forrest is the right kind of sparring partner for him, because he throws so much it puts the extra pressure on him.

mir continues to smoke on something. Lesnar isn't quick? Yeah. Let's go with that strategy. God I hope Brock taps him or knocks him out.

refs are already set and that same dbag is NOT going to be officiating

Another MMA guy gettin' destroyed by a WWE reject: This one's gonna get ugly.
Mir better have Michael Jackson's ambulance waiting outside the arena.

Mir just finished Nog. Brock nut huggers need to stop acting like this is going to be an easy fight for Brock.

Same deluded dipshits that had their cocks stuffed in their mouths when the first fight happened.

Seriously, I am scared for Frank Mir.
I am tired of the wrestlers coming in and beating up all these MMA guys, it's not fair!
Why don't they just stay in ECW, WCW or whatever that fake shit is.
